Muri Beachcomber

Muri Beachcomber lies on the southeast of the island of Rarotonga. Situated on beautiful Muri Lagoon, the property is 2 and half acres. Muri Beach itself is well known for its beautiful Lagoon which is studded with small islands. Muri Beachcomber is located just 10 kilometers from the town of Avarua.

All Cook Islands resort accommodation is fully self-contained at Muri Beachcomber, and the property is small and select with 22 units in total. Guests have the choice of barbecuing under the stars at the resort or walking just a short distance to one of the three nearby restaurants.

Accommodation

Muri Beachcomber offers a number of different types of Cook Islands holiday resort accommodation. The Garden Unit and Family Garden Unit are suited to families. Children under 12 years are not accepted in the Seaview Unit and Watergarden Villa therefore these room types are particularly suited for couples.

Gardenview Units: Ideal for families. There are 3 Gardenview Units located in a tropical setting with the swimming pool nearby. Units are fully self contained, with large covered deck and bbq adjacent. Bedding is 1 Double bed in bedroom and 2 single beds in the living area. Maximum room capacity is 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children.

Seaview Units: There are 16 Seaview Units in total, all with views of the Muri Lagoon. The units are only twenty seconds from the Beach. Has a living/dining room, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower, screened windows and air-conditioning. These units have a covered verandah with comfortable seating and coffee table. Bedding is 1 King bed in a separate bedroom and 1 single bed in living area. Maximum room capacity is 3 adults. Children under 12 years are not accepted in this room type.

Watergarden Villas: are for those who like to taste a little more luxury. There are 3 Watergarden Villas at the Muri Beachcomber which have been designed for privacy and outdoor living. Each villa is set in their own Watergarden, overlooking the Lotus Pond to Whimsey's Folly. Muri Beach is a 90 second stroll across the bridge and through tropical gardens. Each villa has an airconditioned bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, sitting/dining room and bathroom with shower. French doors open from living areas onto a shaded verandah with furniture and barbeque for alfresco dining. Watergarden Villas also feature TV/Video player, Telephone, ceiling fans in living and bedroom, microwave oven and hairdryer. Bedding is 1 King bed. Maximum room capacity is 3 adults.

Family Garden Unit: This 2 Bedroom unit is located above the office and adjacent to the pool. The 2 bedroom contains 2 king zip beds which can be kept as 2 king beds or be split into 4 singles depending on your requirements. The lounge area has a couch that folds out into a double bed. There is a large gated deck area with its own bbq and outdoor furniture. Maximum room capacity is 5 adults or 2 adults and 4 children.

Dining

All units at Muri Beachcomber are fully self contained, and guests can choose to prepare their own meals or can enjoy a short walk to one of the 3 restaurants that are nearby. Two nearby local stores cater for daily grocery shopping. The town bus provides good day and night services.

The Cook Islands has a relaxed policy that allows International Citizens to marry legally, only requiring the couple to reside 3 full days (not including the day of application) in Rarontonga prior to the ceremony. The Wedding Couple must present (in English) Birth Certificates and Decree Absolute (Divorce) papers if either has married previously.
