There is no better place to discover the history of the Cook Islands Maori culture than at Te Vara Nui Village on the Cultural Village Tour that departs every Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday afternoon.
While on this Cook Islands tour you will discover about the Polynesian history, ancestral fishing & navigation techniques, traditional medicine preparation plus the legends and beliefs. You will have hands-on opportunities to experience weaving and coconut customs, traditional dress and dance.
The hosts have deep cultural roots and history which they are excited to share with their guests. You will leave this tour with a deeper knowledge and appreciation of the beautiful Cook Islands and its people.
Operates: Every Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday from 5.00pm - 7.00pm
This tour does not operate on public holidays including Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, ANZAC Day, 02 July 2021, 04 August 2021, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and 02 January 2022.
Children: 0 - 5 years are free of charge, 6 - 11 years are charged at the child rate
